I bought this 1880 Indian Head cent: United States Cent 1880 Because one was in the movie "Buffalo Bill" (1944): Buffalo Bill Cody gives a speech defending the Indian and accusing businessmen of causing the "Indian Wars" for profit. Cody pulls an Indian Head cent out and tells the audience that "The only Indian you are familiar with is the one on the penny". He then throws the coin onto the table. United States Cent 1880 from the film
Do you have providence of the coin being used? The reason I ask durring that time period it was illegal to photo or flim any U.S. money! Be it paper or coinage. Thus the use of so called stage money scrip to represent a form of money. I know this to be a fact as my father worked for the Federal Reserve.
I have always wanted a PF IHC.... I had the $$ and there were a couple up at the show last month. I looked them over and they both had spots and haze. 1 was a pf63 rb the other was a pf64 bn. I guess its gonna be tough to try and find one in the $300 range with real eye appeal. I would love to own one like @robec has posted, but im sure those are 4 figure coins
