    From the rules
    5. Eastern and other coins that don’t use the Gregorian calendar are fair play even if the year doesn’t align perfectly as long as they are datable to ONE year in that calendar. At the bottom of the post just tell us the closest equivalent date in the Gregorian calendar. (Ex.: 1834/5)

Sorry, going back for a moment to 1661 and 1662 and wishing to add a bit to the luigini discussed earlier, here are three luigini from different parts of Europe (although only the Orange issue copies the French arms, the others use their own arms)

    United Provinces Zwolle Luigino 1662
    Zwolle Luigino 1662 obv 354.jpg Zwolle Luigino 1662 rev 356.jpg :

France Principality of Orange Guillaume-Henri Luigino 1661

Papal States - Avignon Alexander VII Luigino (or Carlino) 1662 (even the pope got in on the luigini business since their carlino was struck to the same standard, although the design is a little different)

Moldavian Prince Eustratie Dabija forged these Livonian solidi of Karl X Gustav too. Here is one dated 1655, as usual in copper with a thin tin covering. Dabija ruled from 1661-1665 but liberally struck coins with earlier dates. Actually, semibovinian's coin is a solidus of the city of Riga itself (CIVI RIG on revers with arms of cross pattee over crossed keys) rather than Livonia (which has SOLIDVS.LIVONIAE on the rev and the griffin arms of Livonia). Dabija also forged the Riga solidi of Karl X Gustav. This example, with, I am afraid, a miserable reverse struck partly off flan, , is dated 1657 Moldavia Forgery of Riga Karl X Gustav Shilling 1657 obv 411.jpg Moldavia Forgery of Riga Karl X Gustav Shilling 1657 rev 412.jpg

Here is my 1657...a bit more ordinary.
AV 2 Dukaten 1657 Augsburg Mint
Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III and Wife/ Eleonore
Imperial City of Augsburg/ Reverse pine cone symbol for city. 1c35e006e5588c6953d7aee764377e0d.jpg
Note: Ferdinand looks a lot like Leopold I who became Emperor in 1657.
