The mint mark has been repunched or machine doubled , please tell me what you think about this 1960 Lincoln .
Nice find!! Even with the tiny photos you can see it is an RPM. I love those in your face RPMs like this.
Thank you ,came across this a little while ago sorting some wheat pennies I have,. Thank you for your replies everyone! I purchased approx. 25 -30 rolls from an auction thinking that these would be picked but to my surprise I think I found another 5 RPMs but not as pronounced as the one in the photo. 3 of The rolls were marked 1960 small date D . This is only from the first roll. I think these came from an estate auction but not sure anymore. The guys name is stamped on the side of the rolls , but do not think it would be good to say who it was. I will keep everyone in the loop , and post better pictures of my new finds that fall into the RPM section. Thanks for the replies.
Thank You ! Now I am going to open some of rolls that are marked small date D 1960 and see if I can find another nice one .I just went to my penny box and found 20 rolls of pennies marked 1959 to 1963 . Some of the rolls have never been opened and others are marked as small date D written on them with a guys name stamped on the side. I purchased these about 4 years ago in an auction. I remember because shipping was about 80 dollars , and I thought that was pretty expensive to ship. I guess it may pay off when I find time to open some and have a look inside . When I do , I will keep everyone posted to my finds. Thank you everyone for the replies!!
One of the best 1960-d varieties is the large over small date. High grade specimens bring upwards of $200. good luck
the complete roll looks to have been hand picked someone. The dates have an unusual thickness to them and I would like your opinions on the photos I posted. thank you !!these are only a few of them I have a lot that are all similar to these. Possibly more then that I still have unopened rolls .
Another question what would you do with so many of these ,if they are in fact RPM and re-punched dates.
I did a people search on the guys name on the rolls , and it appears that he has passed on. RIP . The family must have hired an auction company to disperse his coin collection , some of the other items I acquired at that time were unc rolls of US pennies from 1960 ,61, 50, 64, I also acquired unc Canadian pennies 5 rolls 1965 Canadian , 1 roll 1938 unc Canadian and misc rolls of nickels , approx. 10-14 rolls of circulated hand picked coins.
If I remember correctly there are four or five varieties of the 1965 Canada cents. One is worth more than the others. Look up what they are and what they look like then sort for best return. good luck.
