Photos of coins

    I use a milk/water jug too! However, I put the coin/object on a black porous background (i.e., black cloth) so NO adjacent light is reflected to and from the object.

    Also, I use a tri-pod, macro setting, GE Reveal Light Bulbs (No Flash) for the best results. Then practice!

    That was a great posting rggoodie. Whenever I find the time to photo my collection, I will now know what to do.

    Thanks Richard. I never gave that idea a thought. It really diffused the light well. That may take some of the hash lines and shadows off when doing coins.
