    It looks like a suspicious copy of a Phoenician shekel? not an expert but real ones cost a couple thousand I think: Like this one from Ancient Resource online. Let the experts work on it though:[​IMG]

    It's fake, you can see the casting seem on the rim.

    As Aidan said, there appears to be a casting seam and this is a widely faked type of ancient coin. You can dig through Forum Ancient Coins' Fakes gallery to see if you find a match.

    Edited to add that it matches this coin in FAC's Fakes gallery, so that confirms it as a cast fake.
