1980 P Dime with a BLOB on it?

    Could be a cud. But it looks awfully thick, and, well, not quite right. Could also be someone's soldering/welding.
    Could we see a pic of the other side?

    And by-the-way, welcome to CoinTalk.

    its the same width as the coin maybe 1 mm thicker here ill post a side view so you can see how much its raised. and the other side..

    Without and sign of missing metal on the obvers I would say this is post mint damage. That large of a cud on the reverse would definitly leave a hollow on the obverse.

    Looks like solder on the reverse.

    Well, I can't see the thickness pic because its blurry, but that's ok. I didn't need that one as much as the obverse. As Ziggy9 said, a cud would have a weak strike on the opposite side. If it were a cud of that size I would expect far more detail to be missing from FDR's forehead. I gotta call it post mint damage. Sorry.
