Is this a clip?

A coin I own graded MS63 by PCGS has what looks like a defect on the rim on the back of the coin. Is this a minor clip on the coin or is it something else? The rim appears to be slightly indented on the other side of the coin directly opposite the defect. The coin appears to be a VAM 1AS.

That bump on the rim is damage. Does the label on the slab say 'details'? It should.

No, but you'll learn them here over time. Just ask.

    Go here for VAM: http://www.vamworld.com/VAM

The label on the holder doesn't say damage. If it was damage I would think it would look shinier than the rest of the coin. It looks too smooth and neat to me to be damage. There doesn't appear to be any displaced metal around the area.

Have you looked for info on clipped coins in an attempt to learn what a clip looks like. The rim of that coin took a couple of hits.

PS. Could we see a photo of the label on the slab?

The pictures here are of the coin from the ad. I don't have a camera or the equipment to take a picture of the coin. The slab doesn't say details on it.

If this is damage on the coin then I would expect there to be more displaced metal around it.

OK, it's a clip. It's a nice one, too. The nicest I've ever seen.

I don't know what it is but to me it doesn't appear to be damage.

There is no need to be sarcastic. I'm sorry you have trouble with someone disagreeing with you.
