It is from a deteriorated die, no error, extreme wear after long use to press out the cents has fatigued the metal and the lettering, etc, has been pushed to the edge of the die. Jim
Didn’t know cents were “pressed out” Jim. Thought you knew better but alas sometimes even the mods slip up. Lol. Looks to me like the hundreds of thousands of other cents were the metal has been moved by being hit by another coin during the counting and or rolling process or by some other kind of hit to the coin.
