Not a coin, but I thought that it was pretty cool for a thrift store find. An IHC bank :)

Well I made a mistake..... as when I first looked at this coin I was comparing it to another 1834 half dime that I have....I did believe it matched . However after a quick dip in acetone today I realized my error.....which I must say was in my favor! It isn't an R -4 LM -9 ,but it is an R-3 coin, LM - 3 obv 1 rev. W and after its dip turns out to be an 1834 3 over inverted 3 ! Shazam...... making my $130 investment worth $260. :jawdrop: Shazam again double my money....and both a variety ,and die marriage I didn't have.....:)

So I'm collecting tolls in Jersey, and a man pays his $1.50 toll with 2 dollars. I was shocked to see how he paid, an 1890 Morgan and a 1924 peace dollar. Haven't had a chance to look at them yet but I'm very excited. IMG_20180322_164247255_HDR.jpg IMG_20180322_164301919_HDR.jpg

A few newps from Baltimore . . . pretty slim pickens this go-round.

A decent looking '24-S Buffalo in PCGS VF20, smudged holder and all . . .

A copper-spotted better date 1912 Saint in PCGS MS62. This coin is premium quality for the assigned grade, and someday will surely be conserved . . .

    20.00-1912-1.jpg 20.00-1912-2.jpg

A scarce and very original 1923-S SLQ in PCGS XF45 with that much-desired readable date . . .

    0.25-1923-s-1.jpg 0.25-1923-s-2.jpg

A 1891-O Morgan Dollar graded MS64 by PCGS. While the details are not bold, this coin is well struck for the date . . .

    1.00-1891-o-1.jpg 1.00-1891-o-2.jpg

An original Lincoln-Illinois commem graded MS65 by NGC . . . a very nice coin for the grade although, like the buffalo, in a scratched and smudged holder.

Just picked these three up off ebay. Nothing to get excited about and not high dollar collectors items, but I like silver half dollars. Even had a hole for the 1940 S walker in my book. Figured at $18.00 shipped for the three, that is almost exactly melt value. Yes I know a couple are very worn, but what the heck. Fits my poor old mans collection fine. LOL. Mike in Missouri

I've been looking for one of these for a while now. I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I really like the strike on the obverse. Nice addition sir.
