Nice, what department? I was a student in the hydrogeology and environmental engineering programs, then ended up back there for a postdoc at the research park (south of campus) for about a year and a half.

And, the whole time I was there, I never once pronounced it Clem"p"son!!

Funny that this came up. Literally this morning, I was talking to my supervisor at work. I said that one of my co-workers had "spelt" my name incorrectly. I was shocked when I realized that pronunciation had come out of my mouth. I then told him that, as hard as I've tried to fight it, the south had finally gotten me. A man can only hold out for so long!!! :nailbiting:

I’m still getting accustomed to the south and how they speak. Just today I booked an appointment with the vet - the receptionist said it was ‘10 to 12’ and I was very confused as to why the vet needed to see my cat for two hours...

A true southerner that was syllable count conscious would have said "Leum Fiddy", and somehow would have made it sound like 2 syllables!

Just a preparatory of "a's" for ya'll from north of the Mason-Dixon:

a-A prefix added to the present participle to make it purtier, e.g. "Abe's a-workin in backer t'day; Ma's a-talkin to you, son!" (see also agwine, agonna; acoming, aworking, etc.)
Afore prep. Just as good as "before" in some parts.

A good suggestion. I've updated my location. It's interesting to see whereabouts in the world we're all posting from.

Smart suggestion Doug. My location (France) was already filled (and might be quite obvious from my avatar only :) ). I've added my birthyear to my profile so everyone can tell I'm a youngster :)

As for @Bing's examples at speakin' and spellin' the weird language from the deep ol' south, I don't understand a word of it. So sorry I don't :(

No, not at all Doug. But apparently you already figured that out as your birthday clearly shows now.

I failed when trying to enter only the year of birth but it would take it when adding month and day also. Now we know each other's birthdays, perhaps I should add my size in wishlist aurei?

Granbeck - until yesterday at 11:19 AM your email address had not been confirmed. That's why you only had limited access and posting privileges before that. But yesterday morning that was taken care of.

The post above that I quoted, you made that post at 2:03 PM, well after the changes took effect for you. Maybe you didn't check if you could things yesterday - I don't know. But if you did check, and you still couldn't do things, then here's what you need to do to fix it.

First log out of CoinTalk. Then clear your cookie and cache files in your browser, then close you browser. Then open your browser again, and then log into into CoinTalk. That will do it - and you will have full posting privileges - all those things you couldn't do before, including pics, you will now be able to do.

LOL ! Well if you're adding to wish list ya may as well go for broke and add everything you can think of !! :D

In the mean time I'll give you a wish of my own. You know that I only come in here once in a while. So any time you have a problem, or you see anybody else that has a problem, just make a post and tag me like this - @dougsmit

Then I will be notified and come to help if I can, if not that same day the next day at the latest as I am not on 24/7.
