I obtained under very incredible circumstances, a 1962DMS70 quarter. It has not been polished, and it has no flaws, even tho I found it lying in the middle of a strip mall on my way back to my car. I put it in my left pocket by itself, had I put it in other pocket it could have been flawed. Has passed 5x mag., There is no explantion as to how this most rare coin could have been lying on asphalt with cars running over it, yet, being a numismatic for over 40 years, I must admit the only explantion is a miracle. There were witnesses also who could not believe this happening (on Thanksgiving Eve). EDITED---No offers to buy/sell/trade PIC available withiin 24 hours.
To be blunt, this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Well, dumbest thing I've heard today, that is...
It's not impossible a pristine coin from 45 years ago can be found on the ground. Are you familiar with grading? The standards may be higher than you think.
Experience in grading Yes, Pretty Good, My Father was a Jewler for over 30 years, I will take Blowned up pictures with digital cam ASAP. Took to Atlanta to 3 upscale coin establisments. Thank you for the support gtvamgorder
This is gtvangorder, who posted the above. I will not be checking back here for any replies, as it seems that I did not heed God's warning in His Word "Do not cast your pearls before swine, lest they turn and rend you"> There's also a saying from way back, "If you can't say something nice, or have no true knolwedge of the situation, then keep your opiniion to yourself"THANKS, tho, to the few people who did make INTELLIGENT and respectful replies. You know, if nothing else, we came here and made a MIRACLE OF GOD PUBLIC, and I am sure he is pleased with people knowning He's still around.....and HEis the ONLY ONE WE CARE ABOUT PLEASING. We brought something glorious to your attention, and we brought our Father GLORY, that is all that matters. This is supposed to be sucha a spcial site takes so much trouble to get to be a member.....yet I didn't see very much INTEGRITY or WHAT I THOUGHT HIS FORUM STOOD FOR, in the rude replies I got.The post remains to the Glory of God, who gave us this coin at a crucial time in our lives. But you can save your insults and JEALOUSY to throw at someone else, cause THAT IS NOT WHAT I CAME HERE FOR, nor did I think that kind of low-life conduct would be exhibited. I AM SHOCKED, but not surprised. SO WRITE YOUR REPLIES TO THE WIND, if you are a true person of INTEGRITY AND HONOR, you will write me at my email, [Buy/Sell offer removed] but as for this forum, I don't hold myself nor my God up forderision.BYTHE WAY, God led us to a VERY HIGH LEVEL DEALER who only handles such rare coins as this and has MILLIONS of dollars at his disposal to make ANY DEAL, and who has the knowledge to DETERMINE the value, a man, like me, who has been iin numismatics a long time. I am sure HE will be HAPPY to receive our news of this coin, and to deal RIGHTLY with us.Goodbye, gtvangorderGoodbye,
So I guess I am writing this reply to the wind, but I will reply none the less. In case you do read this, I am sorry that you are offended by people's scepticism but most people think "scam" when they read "God has blessed me with a miracle, now how much can I profit from it?". If you were to submit this coin to a top tier grader and recieved a grade of MS70 that would truely be a miracle as I believe that such a creature doesn't exist.( not the grade just that grade on the coin in question) I am a christian and I have a hard time believing that this is a miracle as it doesn't follow any of the biblical recordings of miracles. When Jesus attended the wedding at Canna and turned water into wine there was a town full of attendies that could testify that the wine was indeed gone. When He raised Lazerus from the dead the people that buried his corpse were there to witness it. Even in modern day reports of miracles one of the nessisary elements of such reports is that there is confirmation that there is no possible other explination for this happening. In your case there is a simple though unlikely explanation for finding the coin: 1. your grading of the coin is on the liberal side and doesn't actually grade at MS 70 2. Some poor soul that was in the parking lot just before you dropped one of his/her most valuable treasures 3. Instead of trying to find the rightful owner you declare it a Miracle and try to profit from another's misery. People tend to be skepical about things that are declared "a miracle". For you to expect people to accept this as one is a bit unrealistic. That being said, if you do read this I would still like to see photos of the coin in question. Richard
If you cant respect others opinions you should go to another forum. Maby a religious blog that shares your delusional numismatic abilities. Good by and ask your g-d for forgiveness for misjudging your fellow man.
V-E-R-Y interesting thread. Thanks guys, I really enjoyed it. As an aside, why wasn't his e-mail address pulled? Or has G-d ordained that it is okay?
If would help if when ya'll see a post that you think should be removed, you would report it to the Moderators. As it is this thread has now been open for over 8hr's and there has been 14 posts. If it had been reported it might have been removed, or at least edited, sooner. I'm going to close the thread since it looks like the thread is over Speedy
