Thanks very much for the comments. I read that there are some 1943-P Jefferson Nickels that has a DDO. I don't know if this coin has any doubled dies on the obverse can you please help?
Is tne mark on the steps a stain or a break? If it a stain I say FS coin. Your coin is an RPM as theres over 60 known rpm's che k out varietyvista.com for a match. Looking at your coin yes it may be a ddo. Again you can look it up also on that site. Hope tnis nelps as you have the coin in hand and can best make the call using the site.
I make the coin MS 63, I say no on FS even if it is a stain, as I can only see 3 steps. Those very bottom ones are mangled.
Nice looking coin, but I agree with others, not a FS. However, am I seeing the early stage of a die crack from the top of Jeff's head to his ear?
Good eye. Now lets work on paddymans ddo question. Im trying. Saw the rpm. Now trying to check the other
I'm seeing slight wear obverse at hair/ear and cheekbone, and reverse wear at top of columns center. Seeing evidence of circulation with scuffs, contact marks and rim dings on both sides too. The fields are clean and great luster, but... AU58+, not FS. A keeper, for sure, a very nice war nickel. Just not seeing MS. Spark
