When Ya'll, start trying to decipher weather or not a coin is a variety!
All, and I'll re peat , All, the die characteristics must match.
That means that "Liberty" is a die attribute, and must get weak, the Y will look almost - struck thru. It isn't though, it is most likely from die abrasion, and a polishing of the Die.

You, will know, that you have found a Small Date.

There is much more to Coin Collecting than getting hung up on DD's, Variety's, Errors etc,
I found collecting, from the "Numismatic"stand point (grade) has allowed me to be a better Hunter. Just put the coin in a roll or a flip and stash it away.
Learn to grade, and you will be better hunters.
