    Me too.

Like your "X marks the spot" visual aid.

Observation about the first picture, though, from "during Roman times". Who knew they had such good color photography? And such modern clothing. Not a toga in sight! ;)

PS- I didn't think I had one, but I took a spin back through my old Roman collection, and lo and behold, look at this Maxentius!

Great write up Roman Collector, read it again, thanks.

Trajanus famous architect , Apollodonus didn't like the temple, and said the statues of Roma and Venus were to big, Hadrian had him executed

Sestertius of the architect and founder , Roma on the reverse:

Nice one with Maximianus, Andres. I don't have one of those yet, only a few in Maxentius's name.

    That’s a lovely addition @Andres2.

I think people sometimes dismiss the post-reform coinage as being a little dull... but they aren’t all just Genio Populi Romani! This is a terrific example of a interesting reverse.

Great coins all! I'm still looking for a temple type of Maxentius. I lost an auction bid on one a couple of months ago.
