Does anyone want this coin, PLEASEyou guys bid on this for me, I thought it was something else. I cant retract my bid becuase they said they will lock my account down. So does someone else want this??? I dont want this becuase my dad said he will be very mad at me if i buy any coins that are not professionally graded by NGS ect... plus i thought it was something else. http://cgi.ebay.com/1986-S-Commemorative-Half_W0QQitemZ170173986395QQihZ007QQcategoryZ41107QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
You can retract your bid and put 'entered wrong amount' as the reason without any serious problems from ebay.
i got some, in the original packing to, so i dont want it. BUT, its not a very high price, lessons have been learned for much more!!!
If your Dad get mad at you over $7.00 there is something you are not telling us. Buy it, put it away, maybe someday.
i have done it a few times, and he gets really mad if i ever do it again. Please someone bid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it atleast 90% silver?
Something just doesnt sound right with this. Why in the world would your father get upset if you dont buy coins graded by NGS. He should be discouraging you. Tell me....is it NuGrade Service or Numismatic Grading Service. I dont think either one is very credible...IMO
It is .900 silver. Yes 90%. Look here............. http://www.mintproducts.com/browseproducts/1986-Statue-Of-Liberty-Proof-Two-Coin-Sets.html
Why not just return it? The restocking fee is 0.10% according to the listing. That would be only 7 tenths of one cent. I'm sure that's a typo, but tough nuggies.
The auction ended about 20 minutes after the 2nd post in this thread - 5:40 PM or so. Had I seen it before it ended - yeah I probably would have deleted it. As it is - I left it.
This sounds really odd to me. $7 isn't that bad, and your dad getting upset over that doesn't seem right. If that is the case. Just honestly something doesn't seem right. You have to be 18 years of age to be able to buy and sell off of ebay, or you can have your parents do the buying or selling for you, I think. Phoenix
"Could it be because he's the seller, trying to promote his own auction in violation of forum rules." That was my first thought but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Richard
You got a good deal and your dad should be glad you won it. Also I think you meant NGC. And if that is the ONLY one you can buy that is also bad. PCGS, ANACS, ICG, and even PCI sometimes are pretty good and should always be looked at. Why don't you suggest that you dad join CoinTalk---I'm sure he could learn something here and I'm just as sure that we could learn from him! BTW--Why did you bid if you can only bid on NGC coins? I don't see how this one even looks like an NGC graded coin? Speedy
These scammers are really getting creative. Did you see how nothing he has ever won in the past has been in an NGC holder? His daddy must be ****ed...lol.
