I ran across a 1970 S proof set for $8.50 including shipping, wanted to see if this sounds like an okay deal? It has the 1970 S Kennedy in it, so I thought it might be, but wanted to see what you guys thought. Thanks. Phoenix
Several of the dealers I use list the set at $11 - a quick check on ebay showed one set at 9.07 (including s&h). So depending on S&H it could be decent deal. Otherwise you could probably get it by keeping under 10 including s&h - of course you might have to bid a whole bunch before winning.
Tyler. The original issue price for the 1970- s proof set from the mint was $5.00 and you never know maybe the seller does not know there is variety coins in that set. Sounds like a good deal to me never know could be a "S" LESS DIME or small date "S" CENT. The other Bruce.
Yea a proof 70s small date would be nice. But when you say it has the half in the set, I think the half your thinking of is the 70D. It was only issued in mint sets. And thats the one thats worth more than the rest.
Thanks guys, I'll probably grab it in a few days, and I'll post it when I get it. Might do a set of proof sets. Man, at the rate I'm going I'll be really pinching pennies with these sets. Bruce Thanks man, this guy seems pretty well knowledgteable about coins I am buying from, but you never know. Will be one of the first things I look for, thanks man. :thumb: DJP Yeah, sorry, got my halves mixed up. Still, a 70S wouldn't be a bad thing to have. Thanks guys! :thumb: Phoenix
Sounds a little to good to be true. Don't know where you saw this but if on ebay I'd want to really check it out. Is this in the original Mint plastic? How much is Postage? If excessive S&H might not be to good but if withing reason, great deal.
Nope, it's not on ebay, and shipping is included in the price, along with a 7day return policy. Phoenix
