I neither seek them out, nor actively avoid them. I find toning uninteresting. I would NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES pay a premium for it.
Despite Kurt's scroogelike attitude on the subject, my best toner at this point is my Battle Creek Morgan Dollar NGC MS64* that I have dubbed the "pink eye dollar."
I have always loved this one...the way the red/orange toning covers the sunburst emblem contrasting with the other colors in the background.
