I hope you now see why I suggested trying to attribute it on your own. Unfortunately, some folks simply cannot let a self-serving opportunity pass, even when the greater goal should be assisting you.

Before you take anyone's word as to the variety, perhaps it would be wise to post better photos if at all possible. It's certainly one or the other, and a heartfelt kudos for your efforts (nothing can replace learning for oneself), but it's your coin and you've every right to know for sure, especially since you seem fairly new to this.

Thanks for all the responses guys, it's greatly appreciated. I really hope that I can be one of the people answering questions rather than asking them one day.

Like you said, now that you've seen true doubling you can totally understand the difference :) Keep reading and searching and you will be good to go.

Well, so far I've mostly been using the Cherry Picker's guide to show me what sort of things I need to be looking for, but I'm coming to the point where I want to understand the mechanics behind errors and varieties. I guess I need to pick up a book or look up a website about the minting process from start to finish.

As far as the photos go, I did the best I could with my USb Microscope. Though on the first pictures I reduced the picture size to like 320x240 so I could upload them right to the forum.. But I think from now on I should probably take all my pictures at 1600x1200(max resolution for my microscope) and upload them to imgur and post links in my messages.

This is the only one I've personally found searching bank boxes - of course, it had to be damaged. :( Still, I found it and only paid 1 cent for it. :)

I should add, I searched well over 100,000 coins to find just one. To find one in the wild like you did is exceptionally rare. CONGRATS!
