I am just a fan of die characteristics,. and if the knowledge of numismatics isn't passed on, then, we could be destined to a completely new era. I feared answering the question because The coin in the light you have taken gives me an uneasy feeling that it may be a copy, or an altered coin? Could that be a large date? The six looks Iffy, it may be the attribution of a die characteristic that I am not familiar with. It looks like it may be touching the bust?
Characteristics match except the altered die break- none recorded for this variety in this die state, so your instincts are good, and this example is in line with several other early coppers I have posted in these forums. TPG thought genuine, AU Details...
