Can anyone tell me anything about silver mint proof sets? I have a doubled die penny error.

Anotha One. Lol. Doesn't have much light showing on it and you can still see what looks like metallic lines above lettering. Yea I know I couldn't (...) believe it either. Lmao. Taking it to coin dealers later today when stores open up

More photos aren't going to change anything. There isn't any doubling.

I think you're seeing a reflection in the mirror fields.

Hard to tell through the mint packaging.
If there is doubling, it might not be because of a doubled die.
    Is this variety listed anywhere?

The "double" looks like a reflection to me as well.

I cannot tell but seems like it would merit a bit of close examination

Kudos to you, @Voyager 3, for using the term doubled die instead of double die.
The vast majority of new members don’t get that right.

I’m curious, too, as I see more than reflection. But I tend to be more hopeful than knowledgeable.

well I do not see any variety listed for that year. More likely MD if it was would it not be?

He may also be referencing the doubling above letters which looks like possible split plate doubling.

Need a tighter close-up with better lighting.

I think I see doubling on the D, could be a reflection though.

Normally you would think MD if isolated to only a few letters, just can't tell with the pic of the reverse you gave us.

And you wouldn't think die deterioration with a proof, but it could happen...
