i found a massachusetts state quarter with what seems to be a second impression in it. anyone seen anything like this. can anyone tell me its worth?
Looks like raised clad layer. This happens when a Clad Coin receives heat damage. It's a bubble underneath the clad.. Not a second impression and not a Mint Error.
It's easier to tell if a coin has an error, if it is in good condition. Once it has circulated, it's hard to tell an error from damage.
