Appears to be housed in some sort of jewelry bezel. And looks plated.

 

I agree. It looks plated and in some kind of bezel. Is it strongly magnetic and what does it weigh?

That's larger. A little blurry for me. But I agree with the above 3, that it looks plated, and set in a jewelry piece.
