I have this coin that I believe to be Celtic in origin. I have been told that it is a 'Potin' from Thurrock, in Essex, which would put the coin into the realms of the Celtic tribe of Trinovantes, but I would like confirmation of this, if it is so.
I believe that to the casual observer there are similarities between my coin and the coins of the Sequani people of the Valley of the Doubs (in Gaul). A possibility, also.
I would appreciate it if anyone who has knowledge of Celtic coins can help me.
I am not even certain of the correct aspect of this coin in the photographs.

I don’t think it’s British. I had a look at the standard catalogue, Chris Rudd’s ‘Ancient British Coins’ and it doesn’t look like any British bronze, or any Trinovantes coin. I’m not an expert, but it looks Gaulish to me too.
