Point taken and agreed to an extent, but as I stated: and was expressed even better here: I not asserting that feedback should weigh heavily in one's decision making, but not exactly worthless either.
People are picky! I deal with them every day! The thing is they usually pay when they get that way. If it's my Fault, I fix it, no questions asked.
Best of luck getting your coin. The talk about doctors reminded me of when we moved here, we selected a dentist from the yellow pages because he had a Japanese name and my wife is Japanese. Turns out he is from Hawaii and I know more Japanese than him...
I'm not convinced that they're simply disorganized . . . After all, they did indicate to eBay that the item had been shipped, when in fact it had not been. Still, you are right . . . All I can and should call them out for is poor communication and delivery time.
While you are 100% correct...most people don’t think this way. I can tell you that my marketing people make a huge deal out of Google+ and Yelp despite none of the people who have left my business a review (both good or bad) are really qualified to actually give an informed review of what I do. That said...tons of new customers have said they chose me because of my good reviews.
I will agree with that. I see sellers on eBay with feedback in the upper thousands, yet they continually sell hugely overpriced, overgraded coins. Still, they have a 100% positive feedback because they deliver the product they displayed in a timely manner and are polite. And people are afraid to leave negative feedback for fear of retribution, so they will say something like, "A+", or not leave anything.
I remember those guys...a bunch of real crooks. Didn't they end up having a bunch of major legal problems?
Actually Doug, I don't find it too hard to determine for myself which reviews among the total left for a seller are worth basing a decision on. The content of the review all too often leaves strong clues as to the qualifications of the reviewer. When there are no reviews of value, I don't make a decision based on them. I will say though, that I much preferred the old days when one could migrate from one eBay user to the next, perusing all other feedback left by and for that member. The present day anonymity on eBay prevents that sort of research.
WHOA!! Where ya been bud? I haven't seen you here in a bit.... Please tell me you're down South, and missing this blizzard!
It has been cool here (60's) for the last few days but overall, it's been hot as haides. Record highs for the entire month of February.......
