1968 S Doubled Die!

You need to ask yourself - Does this take away from the design or add to it?
Your pictures show flat and shelf-like "doubling" that takes away from the design.

 

The top of Y in Liberty ? Really I thought for damn sure this time FurryFrog02 !

Good job on the close ups.
The upside down photo of the date and MM should have been the dead give away. MM's are hand punched into the die, and would not show any doubling.

Not trying to argue guys its just I found the same thing on Wexlers site !

 

Yours clearly does not match DDO 002

 

Have you photo'd the die markers?

Always try to match die markers. Also, the doubling needs to match exactly. Not just "kinda looks the same". Remember, it either is or it isn't.

Im going to ask one last question here. What would cause the right side of the Memorial to be taller than the left and Wavy across the top on this one ? (Loose die), if I might try to answer my own question.

 

Well at least you've got the correct terminology.. Doubled Die!
