U.S. Coins Complete Set with Major Varieties, Circulation Strikes and Proof (1792-present) Question: I was looking at the reqiuriments, And it does not have bullion coins (1986-Present), so do you need bullion coins to complete a set of US coins??? Same question for commemerative coins??? I think you've answered your own question. The registry set is for circulation strikes, and proofs. Bullion 'coins' are not coins, and they weren't minted for circulation, so they're out. Commemorative coins again were not intended to be circulated (although they can and do). So all commems would be out, including gold/proofs. And as for specimen coins, see the above...
