Having a HEATED debate over this coin!

No I have no intention on buying this coin. Just want to learn and help others so maybe they won't make mistakes that I have.

I have a strong opinion on this coin and would like to see if others feel the same way.

I believe this coin does not need to be held or magnified to come up with an answer.

What do you think?

Not authentic. Style is wrong, but also look closely at the very sharp edges, the surfaces, etc.

No. Never seen anything like it. While I dont like to condemn things from photos its much easier with antiquities. Looking at the full size images the lines on the face seem much too sharp, consistent and even. That usually indicates an electric rotary tool being used.

I voted fake. I'm not an ancient coin guy, but would they have had rimmed coins back then?

 

It is set in a bezel as jewelry.

Ah so, thanks for the explanation!

 

The plaque looks OK as far as I can see. They key to these is to have someone look at it who reads hieroglyphics. Often fakes are nonsensical or have grammatical errors.
