I truly found this Coin in my yard. I have not a clue to what is or if it is of any value. I am not a coin collector so when looking on the web my mine was blown open....can someone anyone please help..
Pictures of both sides would be helpful. Also, your image needs to be rotated 180 Degrees for the text to be the proper alignment. EDIT - you beat me to it. Looks like a fake Chinese Tael coin
I agree that it seems to be a modern Chinese counterfeit, as mentioned. I strongly suspect that it is not silver- the color doesn't look quite right. You could "flip" it with your thumb (as you would in a coin toss), and if you flick a coin this way, just so, with a strong flick of the thumb, a large silver coin will usually "ring" like a bell, with a good clear "ping", whereas a nonsilver one will give a dull sound- more of a "thud". This is a far from scientific test, though, of course.
