I know this topic’s been beat to death, but I’ll never understand the premiums being paid for (artificially) toned coins. Especially since the end result is that historic coins will continue to get fried. Use URL instead
Artificial toning..... Ranks right up there with counterfeiting coins... Or even "body enhancing surgery"..... Blahhh.... I was born fifty years too late....
1922-P Peace Dollar Superb Silver Coin ,Toned, $1.00 , NO RESERVE!.. See original listing Use URL instead
Some might throw a grade at this but with that much toning it would be hypothetical without having the coin in hand and being able to see both sides.
Tommy was just trying to help you. Sometimes we need to listen more than we post. Also, and I'm sorry to be so blunt, this thread spamming is starting to get very old.
Agreed. They ain’t making any more and these people are frying them. If that’s not bad enough, they sell them without disclosing they’ve been fried. All for the almighty buck!
I’m not sorry to be so blunt. If somebody is trying to sell coins on this thread, they need to get the hell off the site and stay off it.
To be fair.... I think someone is a wee bit over-enthusiastic and is trying just a little too hard (if you know what I mean).
This thread was much less horrifying with somebody already on ignore! I've seen prettier hairballs from the cats. Yeah, but you also got a job and didn't live in Mom's basement until you were 43.
Remember the old days when you could e-mail other bidders on ebay? Wanna know why ebay did away with that?
Sure: "Hey, I don't want to pay eBay fees, email me at skanky@aol.com and we can do the deal for less..."
Other bidders not sellers..... Heck Burt, I helped get a couple of sellers booted from ebay by contacting other bidders and filing multiple complaints.
