It's a fantasy coin. When I google "1964-d Peace Dollar" the moonlight mint is the 6th and 7th results.

Someone should tell our hero. Perhaps he can get the videos taken down even though no mention of him was made. Hey, it works with eBay....

The op video is complete bull. If someone knows enough how to research the information on the 64 Peace Dollar they would surely know about the fantasy over-strikes. Anybody want to make him an offer?

Yes it is a fake, how do you know it's Carr's?

I also seem to remember back when Carr first started making these, those of us who objected to them said that eventually someone would try to pass them off as real, and that some unknowledgeable people would get stuck.

You are mistaken about the eBay situation.
The issue with eBay on certain listings was not due to an omission of my name.
The problem was when a non-Carr "1964-D" Peace dollar was advertised as a Carr piece.

And why would someone want to list a non-Carr "1964-D" Peace as a "Carr" item ?
Because the Carr "1964-D" Peace over-strikes typically sell for several hundred dollars while the typical Chinese pieces usually sell for less than $20.

The piece shown in that video is NOT a Carr "1964-D" Peace. It is one of the (non-silver) Chinese pieces. There are 17 different listings on eBay, at present, for this same Chinese thing.

The guy in the video stated that he wasn't an expert and that he was not going to make claims either way (that the coin was an original or a "fantasy"). That tells me that he does know what a fantasy coin is and he knows that fantasy "1964-D" Peace dollars exist.
