Denver Mint


Anyone else find D or P Cents yet?

Not even in Denver. There may still be a surplus here. I still receive bright unc 2017d in chng.

 

Ya . . I've found quite a few Denver ones too ..

Already seeing Die Deterioration -

 

Not too surprising, the average life of a cent die is less than 33 hours.

 

No 2018 coins at all yet here in SoCal.

 

I am assuming Philadelphia Minted Cents will not have the P Mint Mark as they did for the first time ever in 2017

 

Just wait for the newbs - there will be C's, O's, Q's, R's, the whole shmeer.

 

Haven't seen any yet. Denver is about 440 miles north.

 

I live just outside Philly and haven't see any 2018 coins yet.
But our friends in northern NH sent this to me.

Correct, I've seen them on eBay

 

I just got a promotional mailing from Littleton over the weekend. There's a 2017-D cent in it, something we NEVER see in PA, and it looks to me to be COMPLETELY mark-free with a 10X glass. By far the nicest I've ever seen, and the fields are FROSTY! It almost resembles the 2005-2010 matte strikes from the mint sets, except the "grain" in the fields "sparkle" as the coin is tilted under the light. Both sides. It has to be an early strike from those dies.

That's where it's from. It's second one they sent me this year, and this is by far the nicest one.

 

I can beat that...all my cents are of the "no W" mint mark error.

 

You don't know what you're talking about! If it is that shiney it has got to be a rare proof coin that was struck in Cauliflowerado.

 

Holy Mackerel.. I just weighed one of these Denver Cents and it weighs 3.11

 

*gasp*

 

Now you know why Denver sang the song.........Rocky Mountain High !

Are you absolutely certain you mean "shiney" and not "shinny"? I've seen it spelled both ways.
