As a well known lover of SGS (NOT!) here's a continuation of their overgrading tendencies. http://auctions.overstock.com/1928-...CATE-SGS-GRADED-AU-FR1601/Coins/item/43291957 Now bear in mind that currency is VERY difficult to grade without note in hand but here's what I see. Rounded corners and a nice horizontal crease that's most visible through the ONE on the obverse. Wouldn't be surprised if that crease "breaks" the paper if you get a good look at it. Way too heavy to grade AU. Maybe XF or possibly lower. More SGS garbage from Abon the amazing self slabbers! Now for the record it does look a decent note - just horribly over graded.
I agree 100% with you clembo... BUT, i might just have to bid on it lol Its horribly over graded ... but it IS still a nice note!!!! QUICK .. delete it from your post so no one BUT me has it
No reason for shame there Daggarjon. I'd buy it if it was cheap enough. Then cut it out of the stinking holder or sell it as an example while PROPERLY grading it.
Have to agree if the price was low enough and the shipping not too high it would be worth getting. but as for there grading even I can grade better than that and I know nothing about grading LOL
Dear Lord, I know I always come to you in time of need and dispair, Please I pray, do not let these scavengers prey upon the sheep of your flock. Protect us from evil doings and send the "hammer of Thor" to crush these little dwebes of wrong doing! Amen..
LOL. Here's one I hear alot for some reason from family members : "Lord, give me patience, cause if you give me strength I will KILL him!" Phoenix
