Shield Cent offers the best, for single squeeze hubbing . The 2015 ( coneca DDO-001 ) is one of the best ( single squeeze hubbing ) that it has to offer ..
I can see what you're describing but how do you find these? It's a nice find but so think one must specialize in varieties to spot these, which I don't. Glad you can spot them Rick.
iS THAT ... my Caps Lock key on? Is that PVC on the exemplar coin? Eh. Probably just circulation scuz, I guess.
Uh yeah, because it fits the definition of doubling. I suggest going to doubleddie.com and look at 2015-WDDO-006 and tell me what else it could be. Different process, same result. They say with the single squeeze method of die production doubling isn't possible. It wasn't possible with the previous method either except for one thing, human error. Heck, in 2017 there are even working hub doubling!
It’s sad that that’s as good as it gets. It’s awful that fat letters and numbers are all there is to today’s modern hub doubled examples. No interest from me anymore if that’s it. Reed and a bewildered Sparkles the Unicorn.
Well I look at it this way. Everyone reacting negatively towards the modern doubled dies seems to follow the notion that major doubled dies were plentiful in years past. That's just untrue. Major one's were rare and "ho hum" minor doubled dies were the norm. You know, stuff you needed a loupe to see. Maybe it's because I've been collecting a long time compared to others that really don't understand the rarity of things. The 2015-1c-WDDO-006 I referred to is more than just big letters if you see one in an early die state.
