The 3 shutters were the only losses. Luckily I was able to find them down the street. Now I just need to get a tall enough ladder to get them back where they belong. We didn't lose any trees but there are quite a few down around the neighborhood.

Yes they do. I use to do the same, but the local CUs here have all adopted policies that prevent accepting gifts. Best I can do is offer a smile and a thank you... and a standing offer to buy any silver coin they come across at 10x face that a few of the younger tellers take me up on now and then.

I think my bank had this person give them a whole truck load of silver everything: Nickels, dimes, quarters, halves!!!!!!!!

Found whole rolls of them all. No roll yet had no silver. To many for pictures

Maybe someday I'll get our bank to order a box of halves.
But that is not how the smart money bets.

Red seals from the teller to whom I delivered a coffee card this morning. All circulated, but my brother in law will appreciate them for his birthday given he’s a currency collector.

The dollar coins she sold me were common, circulated Ikes.

She told me she’ll get in touch if anything else comes by her :)

Nothing today too much work to do...Two boxes of halves should be in tomorrow. I'm up to about half a roll of dimes for the calendar year *OFF TOPIC* Since I consider the regulars on this thread to be my "coin talk friends" id appreciate it if some of you all would take a stab at my first ever GTG in the U.S. coin forum. I finally submitted some coins and some are back, with more on the way.

Hope you all find lots of silver, or whatever your particular "treasure" is this week.

Was making my rounds dumping halves when I stopped in to give one of my favorite tellers a 1976-D AU Ike (she told me she liked the large dollars but did not have any). This is the teller that sold me $340 of CWRs a couple of weeks ago that had 306 silver halves in them. Anyway, she was just coming back into the lobby from a break when I saw her as I was leaving, and I gave her the coin. She appreciated it so much she told me to meet her at her teller window because she had two rolls of halves to sell me. They were both CWRs and I bought them. Later, I discovered a '66 in one of them. Then, she said she wanted to show me 3 silver halves that came in that she bought out of her tray. A '64, '66, & '67. I was about to tell her the '64 was a 90%er compared to the other two which are 40%ers when she said she would sell me the '64 but she wanted to keep the other two. So, I thanked her and bought the '64 for 50 cents. I told her I would bring a matching 1976-D AU Kennedy next time I came by. I hope she saves a few more coins for me!
