California gold

    why is California gold tokens so low? There gold right? Or are they plated?

    they are only going for 10 bucks

    What you're probably seeing are reproductions.

    Well first of all the vast majority of these so called Cal gold tokens are nothing but modern reproductions. Secondly if they do contain any gold, the size of these things is so small that the amount of gold would be worth far less than $10.

    Make sure to read up on them, Ryan.
    They can be tricky little buggers.
    It's usually a good call to only bid on the ones that have a BG#.
