So I haven't done a Guess The Grade in a while. This absolute beauty came today in the mail and I knew it deserved a GTG. The luster on this has a wonderful satin appearance. The obverse was struck with a rusty die and you can see it all over Liberty's face and hair. Have fun and any comments are always welcomed.

I’ll say it looks like an MS 65 but is housed in an NGC fattie with 64 on the label.

Or is it a small white Anacs? :p
    Or a PCGS OGH :D
    I’ll stick with NGC :D

I’m calling it a really high end 64. The weak strike and the cheek and neck marks keep it just off a 65. If a newer holder I’d have said 64+

    No, it's a VAM-21 Doubled 18. I always check those O's out right away. ;)

    That's why I said 65 instead of 66. ;)

I believe the New Orleans mint was known for weak strikes.
This is a beaut. The toning can throw me off because it can hide details.
I would be at 65, but there are a lot of chatter marks, so 64.
And yes it is difficult to be the first person to grade.
