2014 D Face Mark

Can someone tell me if this is an error or whats it called its accross his face.

Looks like something scratched across his face

 

I looked at it with a jewlers loop its not a scratch its part of the dime its elevated

 

Are you talking the line between the L and I in Liberty?

 

Looks like it was struck with a cracked die. Crack runs from the rim across the lower corner of the "I", along the bridge of the nose and to the eye. And yes there are also scratches across his face too.
