Looks almost like the 1838 small stars die which I believe was caused from rusted dies

I’m sure Paddy will know exactly what it is.

Yes it is a 1837 straight date with rusted dies that are more common on the 1838 .
    It is a Valentine # 6
This die is chzracterized by a bad flaw to the right arm holding Liberty cap, and continuning downward from the knee. Date is straight line.
Rev. Die of #2 but xie crack begins to show from A and R of America to edge.
This coin as well as no. 6A & No. 6 B ,must of been struck in 1838 as perfect examples of this die combined with obv. Date 1838.

After futher reasearch all of the above is correct execpt it is an 6B
As the 6 and 6 A have progressed to the finial state but a furrher die crack runs fro. liberty cap to the edge. Rev. is the same as 6A
6 A the die crack runs from the heel to edge.

There no premium listed as not an listed variety. Links reworked dies used in 1837 and having stars cut into the die it self example small stars 1838's that did have rusted dies.
The exact number of working dies used in 1837/38 are unknown,
Now 70,000 1838 o no stars coins were minted in New Orleans.

Again use caution as I honestly can't see this being a hot item on anyone's list.
