Well, its official, I'm selling off parts of my US collection and moving completely to ancients. I have, however, decided to keep at least a type set, as well as most of the more complete sets I have. The question here is, which do you prefer, the first or second bust dime? The 1827 has a higher grade, but the 1831 has a more pleasing overall color. As these can probably fetch at least 20 dollars each, one of them is going. lol. *note: my scanner is terrible!
i would keep the second one, IF i couldnt keep em both I like the more pleasing 'look' to the secondo ne over the first.
To me the first example has better eye appeal. The first example has a better bust but the second has a better eagle. I always look at the bust first.
i like A better becuase you can see the date more clearly. i wonder how the front is worn, and the back isn't?
Toughie, both seem to be worn more excessivly on either the reverse or the obverse. Both would only be AG-3 IMHO, but I would have to go with A. Only if A had B's reverse, then that would be really nice. But overall, still some very nice coins you have there. :thumb: Phoenix
