Here are a couple new Lincolns I picked up this weekend from eBay. The are both graded by NGC. Anyone want to guess the grade. Sorry, but all I have for now are eBay pics.
Both I would say about MS-65 R. Hard to really tell by the pics though. Nice coins! :thumb: How much did you pay for them if you don't mind me asking? Phoenix
I only guess 66 on #2 due to the picture, the word Liberty has something going on around it, but may not be the coin, just the pic. Rlm, I have seen your registry set, pretty impressive.
I will show the slabs tomorrow along with the price - assuming he will invoice me with the shipping as quoted in the listings.
Both RD. Pics a bit to grainy to be sure, but I'd guess the first coin is a 67 and the second a 65. Regardless, they both look very attractive, so congrats & thanks for sharing....Mike
They are both MS-67 RED. And Phoenix, they were both $60 apiece. A little more (cents) for the 37 and a little less for the 46-D.
Id like to ask what you are using to take these pictures??? They came out so clear. Im especially impressed because you took the pic of the coins through the slab. I have a really hard time getting a pic of a slabbed coin or even through the plastic on a 2X2 flip. And if I do get a pic that comes out with nice sharp details, half of the coin has a glare on it.
really, so you are taking pics with a digital camera. Are you using a tripod??? I think thats most of my problem.
I agree, amazing pics, congrats ona job well done !!! Please share the secret !!!! Lighting, set-up, any tricks, WOW
No fancy tricks or lighting. Just a Phillips "earth light" bulb and I am still playing with the angle. I am convinced that most or all is the camera. I am using basically the same setup as with my old Olympus camera, but the results are not even similar.
Thats good to know...I'm using a FujiPix something or other, was Looking at a Sony DSC H1 used, but thats a ways off, new camera won't be until after Christmas.
Before you buy that camera, take a look at that a560. That Sony is probably a better camera for coins, but it is going to cost about $500 more than mine. Walmart had this for $146. Is it really worth that much more? Take a look at it and you decide.
Wow, not bad. Very nice man! I always look forward to seeing yours and Arizona Jack's lincolns. Magnificent coins. :thumb: Phoenix
