I would guess that the E331 is just the dealer’s inventory code.

NMT could be part of the code or it might mean “Near Mint” ...i.e. almost Uncirculated...just a guess though.

Similarly I would guess NFT would be “Near Full Torch” ...but only if it’s a Roosevelt Dime.

Thanks, now these coding are all on $2.50 gold pieces. Logically it must be how he tracks his inventory. Thanks for the reply.

i see a lot of these letter/number codes at the end of listings, especially on multiple listings of the same type coin, i always believed they were used to identify that the correct coin goes to the purchaser...

Nyatii I like running w/scissors. Makes me feel dangerous

Or, they could be the code they use to remind themselves what they paid for that item.

I use a system to identify all my coins uniquely. When posting auctions I always put that code in the text of the auction but never the listing line. However, I have seen many that do. I think it is probably quite common.

    Those aren't acronyms - they're abbreviations.

Acronyms are abbreviations that spell out a word.

    Just saying...

Yes I believe it's the sellers stock information, so he knows exactly which coin is sold etc.

That's what I do if I sell multiples. That way I can track which flip and coin to put in which envelope.

yup, and whenever i bought a coin from someone that had multiple listings of same type i liked seeing these codes as it made me feel more confident that i would get the coin i paid for...
