Looking at Ebay, I see E331 NMT, or E339 NFT, and E339 NMT where can I locate what they stand for. Here is an example: 1901 Gold $2.50 Dollar Quarter Eagle CHOICE BU FREE SHIPPING E331 NMT
I would guess that the E331 is just the dealer’s inventory code. NMT could be part of the code or it might mean “Near Mint” ...i.e. almost Uncirculated...just a guess though. Similarly I would guess NFT would be “Near Full Torch” ...but only if it’s a Roosevelt Dime.

i see a lot of these letter/number codes at the end of listings,especially on multiple listings of the same type coin, i always believed they were used to identify that the correct coin goes to the purchaser...
I use a system to identify all my coins uniquely. When posting auctions I always put that code in the text of the auction but never the listing line. However, I have seen many that do. I think it is probably quite common.

That's what I do if I sell multiples. That way I can track which flip and coin to put in which envelope.
yup, and whenever i bought a coin from someone that had multiple listings of same type i liked seeing these codes as it made me feel more confident that i would get the coin i paid for...
