Probably around VG10. Are you just starting out, Roy? That one's cleaned. It's a desirable date and mintmark combo, though, as far as those go, anyway.
Be very cautious when buying raw CC dollars as there are plenty of Chinese fakes out there. Not saying this is one of them but even brick & mortar stores miss them from time to time. Especially do not buy any from pawn shops.
Thanks for that info. I got mine from a coins and precious metals dealer but I will remember not to buy them from uncertified sellers
Indeed and is fine advice. I see absolutely no reason to question the authenticity of this one though. However, like Chris, I would consider this a problem example.
To answer your question, would this grade at least a VF? No. I'll second what @longshot said: F12 details.
The obverse looks kinda weird and off to me. I dunno, 10-12 details. Possibly counterfeit, but I'm not 100% sure. Do not quote me on that.
