I bought this today at the Sarasota Coin Show. I now have 2, as I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Why I bought this one is a topic for another thread.

    What's your grade on this?

Most Bay Bridges do nothing for me, this one caught my attention. My initial reaction was MS66, so I'm sticking with it.

I'm at a very solid 65 with a great shot at CAC.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

64? The reverse on this commem is really busy and hides marks.

I like the character on this one as well! I wonder if it would gain a point if it was blast white (not suggesting doing that though as I like the look in this case)?

And speaking of "case" - this will be used in the holder premium thread (if I ever win again).

Its a nice strike with lots of contrast and details. My source for commemorative knowledge have you check two spots for wear and from what I can tell from the pics they look unworn. I like to give out grades with more optimism than realism. I say MS65.

I own the book as well. Not the most entertaining read, but a valuable resource.

    Beautiful design IMHO.

Yeah, MS65 seems like the correct technical grade but the spotty terminal stage toning does not give it an eye appeal boost in my opinion.

So when I went to the show, I was looking for either an Antietam or a Maine. Found one Antietam that I sort of liked (a 66 that was blast white, I tend to like some toning/color), but the seller and I couldn't come to terms. On my second pass around the tables, I noticed this Bay Bridge. Now, less then a month ago, I bought a Bay Bridge (MS62 that I am so NOT in love with), so this was far from being on my list of things to look for, no less buy. But, this coin had a few things going for it, and I was able to swallow having 2 Bay Bridges in my arsenal.

    1. it's 3 points higher
    2. it's has great golden color and full of luster
    3. you tell me what #3 is!

    With that said...
