65, love the contrast! Edit: I'm guessing though that it got the coin a grade bump rather that a PL designation.
If those marks are breaks in the luster (rev) then I say 63 if just a some specs that got into the slab then MS64. Looks to clean.
There's something else that most have missed on this specimen and that is it is an FS-C50 -1893-301 In other words a sweet cherry pick of an commemorative RPD. and my resoures are old but in 65 that's a $ 600.00 find.
You never cease to amaze Paddy!! I wish i could double check, but alas, i didnt check-in on the thread until i left the house. Will see if i can find an on-line reference and let you know if its a match. Good eye!
I'll make the step up... MS66 (It's probably a 65PL, but man that's a stellar Columbian!) ***Edit*** With images on the web, I look at wear, and then assume the luster is there or not, based on the wear, as luster is not always apparent in web images. My actual guess may have gone to 66PL, but there are none in that grade.
Bwaaahaaaahaaa Yea like that.... We all remember what happened w the last one and again I'm glad we can all learn from it on your dime
