Double stamped 1968 penny

    Your Cent is not double stamped. It is PMD - Post Mint Damage.
    It was damaged after it left the US Mint.

    Even if your coin had whatever it is you think it has, in the condition it's in it wouldn't be worth anything. Spend it--if you can.

    This happened at the mint.
    The mint parking lot.
    Let's just take a moment and analyze for 1 minute. If this coin were a valuable error, what is to prevent anyone from scratching up a coin in a similar way to create an error? Anything that can be created by hand is usually not an error.
    (A lot of the true clips "look" like someone cut the coins, but they did not.)
