I'll go with the flow, But, I think we should be at an 1841 or a hard times token. I think this is an 1809 but which one. IMG_3105.JPG IMG_3106.JPG

Tokens and medals are wild. If you play one with the correct date, the next coin can be anything.

I'll play off your 1809 with this medal. Any US coin can be played next. Crazy, I know. Just something we started doing year ago.

So we're on Lincoln's or 1909's if I'm following correctly.

Sorry about my IHC post above, I tried to delete the images before I posted to this thread (as I had already noticed my mistake... I was posting off a coin on another page on this thread), but for some reason the images came up as small images. RS just beat me to posting here, as I was importing a 1972 DDO into this post. C'est la vie.

I noticed that we had some issues with Fiddlehead posting the same gold double eagle on Sunday and then on Wednesday without posting any other coin in between. Much as I like 1858 (I'm putting together a Registry set of the date), is there any sort of rule regarding how soon you can double post a coin to the thread, or whether you need to post some other coin before you do a repeat of the same coin?

Anyhow, trying to make up for my bad IHC...

I thought maybe I could grandfather in your mis-post by bridging it into an Indian Head sequence. Well, I tried.

This completes the Philadelphia cent types for 1909. We’ve had an IHC, a couple of VDBs, and this.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen an IHC like that, Bill.

oops, my bad. Although it's not true that I didn't post a coin in between, as I did (an 1862 trime), but I completely forgot that I had posted that 1858 double eagle before.
