Hi, everyone. Have been studying this one for some time now. I found it searching through an old can of one cent coins that I have had for a lot of years. ( Actually quite a few different one's ) but one at a time. This one just intrigues me. Could not find a match on Wexler's or any place else. I am guessing machine doubling from what I know .Worth keeping or a dud. Thanks for the help. Now if the pictures come out? Snap_3.jpg Snap_4.jpg Snap_5.jpg

    Yes. Flat and shelf-like. MD.
Notice how it takes away from the design, doesn't add to it.

EDIT: I woulndn't keep it as they are fairly common, at least in my searches. If you like it though, keep it. It only cost you $0.01 :)

MD, but I'd keep it, I just haven't seen any "in the wild".

Yes, it's strike doubling. It's a wild one, though. I'm keeping it, for sure.

That is an excellent example of machine doubling as others have already posted. If I found this, I would still keep it and put it in a 2x2 even though I know it has no additional value beyond 1 cent. Coin Talk gets numerous posts with machine doubled coins, but I think this is one of the better examples I have seen here.

Good call - nice to see a new member who took the time to understand the difference between MD and DD
