Lincoln cent on foreign planchet

    Was offered this for $10. I know the penny is not a fake.

    However, I cant find out what country has a 2.6.7 gram planchet.

    You have a duplicate thread now.. I answered on the other one the following..

    You need to provide more information.
    Who offered it to you? What makes them think it's struck on a foreign planchet?

    Looks damaged.

    Only way to determine is to get the Cent looked at. Testing of the metal content can maybe give a clue if on that year the US Mint was making coins for other countries using that type of Planchet.
