According to Album its a separate group, part of the Daylamite dynasty. They were around from 934-1061AD. My coin hammered at 680 UK Pounds in 2013. It was rated as mint state and RRR.

They are not that expensive generally, but some rulers are pricey. High quality coins as a rule are always $$$$.

Here's my heavily debased dinar of the same ruler near the end of his reign (AH 399 = 1008/9). You can see that the Buwayhid confederacy underwent a considerable decline in the interim!

The Buwayhids/Buyids were a Persian (Iranian) Shi'ite dynasty who took control of Iraq and Iran, leaving the Caliph in Baghdad in office as a powerless figurehead. To some extent they revived Sasanian traditions, with the greatest Buwayhid, Adud al-Dawla (949-983), even adopting the title Shâhanshâh. Along with the Saffarid, Samanid, and Hamdanid dynasties they constitute what is often called the "Iranian Intermezzo," before these Persian dynasties were overthrown by Turkish groups like the Seljuqs in the west and the Ghaznavids in the east.
