1990 no mint mark error

    I was looking through my change and i found this error 1990 atleast thats what im thinking i was wondering if someone could help me out im new to collecting, it has no mint mark or L in liberty and no in god we trust

    Looks like damage to the coin.

    Jesse, the no mintmark error was only for proof cents, struck for special sets sold only to collectors. You do not find such cents in circulation. You coin is a normal 1990 cent, (Philadelphia issues do not carry a mint mark that year), and looks like post mint damage.

    If it was damaged to that extent wouldn't the zinc be showing through?

    As stated in your other double post thread.
    Philadelphia Cent struck with worn dies and struck through grease.. It's nothing major
